Masai Mara : The Masai Mara, 1510 km2 of wildlife photographers heaven. Your view of the place depends alot on how you experience it. If you are serious about wildlife photography then stay at a camp deep inside the reserve for as long as you can afford. The more time you spend in the reserve the more you are rewarded. Make sure your camp uses 4wd vehicles and not matatus.
Famous for its big cats, the park does have the "big five" but you are doing well if you see a black rhino. The other drawcard of the Masai Mara is the wildebeest migration. The sheer numbers of wildebeest has to bee seen to be believed.
A classic East African safari destination.

Cape Cross Seal Colony : Cape Cross is the spot where the first European this far south on the coast of Africa, Diego Cao landed in 1485. Its a bleak rocky coast which leads to the desert inland.
It is also the home of up to 100 000 seals, numbers vary seasonally but the site is occupied all year round.
Lets get the smell question out of the way first. This area is home to a very large seal colony, therefore it a bit smelly. Get over it, its not that bad. Concentrate on the fantastic photographic opportunity and the smell will fade.
We are talking 1000's of seals on a atmospheric wind swept coastline. They are not afraid of humans and disregard the restraining wall totally.

Forum and Surrounds : The ancient heart of Rome. Visit it, explore it, and you cannot help but be in awe of the Roman civilisation. Truly impressive. If you have even a passing interest in ancient history at least a full day if not 2 is required to do the area justice. Stand on the arena floor of the Colosseum, squint your eyes and let your mind roam. You will feel the sand and hear the roar of the crowds. Later walk the forum, follow the footsteps of Julius Caesar. The amount of historic events that have transpired in this small area is truly amazing.

Todra Gorge and Surrounds : A fault in the plateau dividing the High Atlas Mountains from the Jebel Sarhro, is what Todra Gorge is. The colours of the rock in the area are excellent and they change beautifully dependent on the time of day. The 3hr or so loop hike is well worth the effort, some of the views are spectacular. As with a lot of Moroccan towns an excellent place to hang out for a few days.
